Conference Newsletter No. 2

Logistics 4.0 - Consequences for GCC Countries
Given the increasing demand for customized products, it may seem that production of large quantities to stock will become obsolete in the near future. However, it is probably a combination of production to stock and customization of semi-finished articles upon order that will become the option of choice for many products.

At the 2nd GCC Logistics Conference, which is going to take place in Manama on April 26-27, 2017, experts will discuss the role of an ever-increasing degree of digitization and automation of supply chains on transport and logistics companies and their clients. A focus will be on the Gulf Region and especially on Bahrain, considering the country's potential for advanced logistics services such as on-demand production and distribution of components and customized products.

More information on the upcoming conference and impressions from 2016 can be accessed at the conference web site.
